Working within a specialist Technical Operations team, you'll spend the majority of your time delivering strategic infrastructure projects, driving continuous improvement and supporting the adoption of modern technologies. You'll also act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and provide guidance to junior engineers where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support enterprise infrastructure platforms.
- Administer and optimise Linux-based environments.
- Drive infrastructure automation using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Support datacentre deployments, hardware installations and infrastructure upgrades.
- Troubleshoot complex networking, server and platform issues.
- Contribute to infrastructure architecture and technical decision-making.
- Maintain a strong focus on security, resilience and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with technical teams across the UK and internationally.
- Support AI and high-performance compute infrastructure initiatives.
Current Projects
This role will provide exposure to several significant infrastructure programmes, including:
- Major datacentre expansion and modernisation projects.
- Migration away from legacy virtualisation technologies.
- Development of GPU-powered AI infrastructure.
- Global platform deployments across multiple international locations.
- Security-focused infrastructure initiatives supporting emerging technologies.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong Linux administration experience (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL or similar).
- Infrastructure automation using Ansible.
- Hands-on datacentre and physical infrastructure experience.
- Strong networking knowledge covering routing, switching, firewalls and VPN technologies.
- Experience supporting enterprise server and storage environments.
- Scripting experience using Bash, Python or similar.
- Experience supporting virtualised infrastructure.
- Containerisation knowledge, ideally Docker.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical challenges.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Kubernetes.
- Infrastructure security and hardening.
- Git and version control systems.
- Monitoring and logging platforms.
- AWX or Ansible Automation Platform.
- GPU infrastructure or high-performance computing environments.

What's on Offer?
- Salary of £65,000 - £72,000.
- 10% annual bonus.
- Hybrid working model.
- Exposure to a broad range of modern infrastructure technologies.
- Opportunity to work on large-scale, business-critical projects.
