Are you a Product Owner who gets data? Do you want to work on a project that will genuinely help people across the UK manage their financial futures? If so, we have a role you’ll want to hear about.
We're recruiting for a major public body on a mission to improve the nation's financial wellbeing. This isn't just another job; it's a chance to make a tangible, positive impact on a national scale.
The Project You'll Be Joining
Right now, a major data transformation is underway. The team is bringing together historical and current data from multiple sources into a single, modern Microsoft Azure environment. The ultimate goal? To power a new generation of data products, including a dashboard that will be used by the UK public.
Your work will directly contribute to creating clear, accessible data tools that help people make better financial decisions.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Product Owner, you'll be the bridge between the data and its users. You won't just be managing a backlog; you'll be shaping the 'why' behind the work. You will:
- Own the Vision: Define and drive the roadmap for data products, from BI dashboards to new data services.
- Collaborate with Experts: Work hand-in-hand with a talented team of BI analysts, data engineers, and delivery managers to bring your vision to life.
- Champion the User: Translate complex needs from internal teams and key government stakeholders into clear, actionable product goals.
- Make Data-Driven Decisions: Use evidence and usage stats to decide what to build next and ensure your products are truly valuable.
- Navigate the Details: Handle the essential governance, privacy, and legal aspects to ensure your products are secure and compliant from day one.
Is This You?
We're looking for someone who is comfortable in the world of data, but whose real passion is turning that data into something useful for people. We think you'll be a great fit if you:
- Have solid experience managing data-heavy products, like Business Intelligence dashboards (e.g., Power BI) or similar data services.
- Naturally, bring people together, building strong relationships and consensus with stakeholders who have varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Can see the bigger picture and connect your product decisions to wider organisational goals.
- Are comfortable with agile ways of working and can adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- You're a clear communicator who can tell a compelling story with data.
What's in It for You?
This organisation is built on a culture of care and is committed to being an inclusive place to work. They back that up with a fantastic benefits package:
- Your Future: A generous pension where they contribute 2:1 (up to 10% of your salary).
- Your Time: 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Your Wellbeing: A flexible hybrid working model, an Employee Assistance Programme, and various health perks.
- Your Growth: A supportive environment where you can develop your career while making a real difference.
