Salary: £55,000 – £59,000 per annum, depending on experience
We're working with a forward-thinking organisation currently investing heavily in its digital transformation, with a major focus on Microsoft Azure technologies.
We’re looking for an experienced Security Engineer based in or near Manchester, with a passion for Azure security and cloud infrastructure. If you hold the AZ-500 Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate certification , or are working towards it, this is your opportunity to shape the future of security operations within a hybrid environment.
The Opportunity
This role offers a rare chance to join a business undergoing major investment in its cloud and security landscape, transitioning into a fully Azure-powered enterprise. You’ll work directly with the Cloud & Infrastructure Lead and be a key player in security operations across hybrid systems and cloud services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement security patching, hardening, and monitoring across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
- Manage Azure-based security tools like Defender for Cloud, Security Center, and Key Vault.
- Respond to threats, conduct security assessments, and enhance IAM and network security automation.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate security best practices into solution development.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and GDPR requirements.
- Oversee third-party security service providers and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven expertise in Azure security and hybrid environments.
- AZ-500 certification highly desirable .
- Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting, Azure Policy, and infrastructure-as-code .
- Experience with tools such as VMware, Commvault, SolarWinds, WAFs , and Microsoft 365 stack.
- Track record of security automation, threat detection, and forensic analysis.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and agile delivery environments.
