Senior GCP Data Engineer

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and developing scalable back-end systems and APIs

• Building data pipelines to ingest data from diverse sources into GCP environments

• Creating robust data transformation and modelling frameworks

• Constructing and managing data lakes using tools such as BigQuery

• Optimising performance across cloud-based data pipelines and queries

• Collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to deliver high-value solutions

• Documenting processes and data architecture for knowledge sharing and continuity

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience in GCP-based data engineering

• Proficiency in GCP services including BigQuery, DataProc, Cloud SQL, DataFlow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Data Fusion, and Cloud Composer

• Hands-on expertise in Python and SQL

• Experience designing secure and scalable cloud architectures

• Proficient with Terraform, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions

• CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation

• Solid understanding of cloud security and best practices

• Familiarity with Big Data tools and analytics platforms

• Knowledge of cloud compliance and governance

• Experience in agile delivery environments

• GCP certifications (e.g. Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Developer)
